PROGRESS UPDATE: Saturday, 11:10pm

The Spimmy is just about complete. It would be done it we did just this one project, instead we're tackeling in reality about every single gun all at once. Makes for a more exhilerating (aka exhausting) series we have here. The body is basically done, eye holes are now there, even added eye covers...

It won't be long before this is sent off to the ano! Unless we decide to add some cosmetic milling to the chassis... Time and patience will tell

PROGRESS UPDATE : Saturday, 6:05am

At 6:06am on Saturday we had a well machined and functioning Spimmy! SUCCESS IS EMINENT!!

Keep in mind now, it's not 100% finished. Just taking longer than expected due to making the frame fit, and a chassis from scratch. Not just bolting on a clammy here, no way! But from that first fireup to show it is alive, holding air, not leaking, and the morlock is working properly.... just had to go into a coma. Long overdue. After a powernap we headed back into the shop. Quickly returning to work on the Spimmy. Eyes are being tackled next, and a new bolt.

PROGRESS REPORT: January 28, 3:30am

So far so good, working on some of the wiring and the eye positioning.

As of now the wiring harness is getting prepped and ready to get in there. Just need to cut to size, solder, shrink wrap, drink Mt Dew, and it's all good!

The other major part being tinkered on are the Break Beam eyes that we're installing on this. This baby has to has eyes with the ropes it'll be slingin. Blind guns aren't as good, they need canes and special dogs. And you can't feed those dogs treats or else blind people yell at ya. Trust me I found that out the hard way. Guess that's why they don't drive, too much road rage...

PROGRESS REPORT: January 28, 2:30am

This is the body so far, Sleeve fits nice. Body's been milled for cosmetic appeal as well as weight reduction, the bolt weighs almost as much as the body from this old spyder now! But that will soon be changing.

*edit: New Better picture!* From here you can see it's a Vert frame. A what? Yes that's right a 90degree frame. First time done on a Spimmy/Timmy and this thing will rip! The trigger right now, as Smoking Nun plays with it in the picture, walks clean and smooth. Like buttah!

*edit:new better picture!* As you can see the grip frame as well as the rail seem to be pretty much complete. Solenoid is resting well, higher than on the average Timmy where it's just lay over top of the board instead. Going to help maximize the space inside the frame.

January, 2006

The Spimmy, also known as a Frankensteined Spyder or Intimidator. Basically, we will modify a Spyder so it acts like an Intimidator. We will start with a vertical-feed spyder body and mill and anno it. We will modify some of the stock Spyder internals. We will modify stock parts and add some Intimidator parts. We will replace and upgrade the electronics. We will add break-beam anti-chop eyes. We will get this baby humming fast and unchoppable.

We will fabricate the following parts:
•Eye covers
•Delrin Spyder Bolt

We will need to have donated or purchase the following:
•Spyder Body – vertical feed
•Spyder adjustable feed neck – 2-hole version
•Timmy Ram Sleeve
•Timmy Adjustable Ram Cap
•Timmy Ram
•Timmy Ram bumpers
•Timmy Poppet valve and seal
•Timmy bolt pin
•Timmy Solenoid
•Timmy Solenoid fittings and hose
•Electro Frame – we can modify most anything to fit – Clammy frame would be nice in the essence of time
•Aftermarket board and eyes (Mini-morlock)
•Timmy detents
•Hp Reg
•Lp Cocker Reg
•Macroline fittings
•On/off ASA and rail
