FINAL UPDATE: Wensday 2:24am

SpyderMag is completly done. anodized and working.

PROGRESS UPDATE: Sunday, 7:30

Due to time constraints and technical issues the Spyder Mag will not be anodized this weekend. HOWEVER it IS a complete marker! Besides the anodize the marker is fully functioning and works flawlessly. It is a success.

Will have pictures of it soon...

PROGRESS UPDATE: Sunday, 6:74am

Getting some kinks worked out, still a lil bit more to go. But not too much. Once this frame is done we are set. The ULT is working flawlessly, the valve won't be a paperweight! Definately glad that mill work was perfect. For now we're working on some of the mounts, and drilling a couple holes (such as the front grip frame screw hole)

PROGRESS UPDATE: Sunday, 5:50am

Latest development is just with the frame. Had to do some very precise measurements with the Solenoid housing. Exact location and positioning. Research didn't find any worthy results so we were going head first with this method we'll be doing. The solenoid will itself trip the sear, not just taking the Spyder frame unmodified and having the Spyder sear itself then trip the Mag sear. That's cheating, we have to do things the hard way!

Also would need to make a slot to where the mag sear would be able to freely move within the Spyder grip frame. Quick trip to the mill and we're on our way....

Getting some more progress done, let's take a look shall we?

Trimmed the top but left the bottom to fit with the rail. Blends in better that way so it's still flush together.

Here you can see the mill going to town. It's eating that Taiwanese aluminum with ease and spittin it back out. Thank you Kingman! We're making it flat on the top so it'll set flush onto the mag rail. Easier/better to do that than modify the rail!

But we still modified the rail! Only for weight reduction. Excess areas were trimmed away. Guess which areas we trimmed...

Here is a mock up of it thus far.

PROGRESS UPDATE: Saturday, 11:15pm

Been tinkering on the bloody ULT issue with this one mostly. Not that the ULT is bad, but we are using an Emag valve. Had to be bored out inside the on/off assembly area. After that step was done dropped in ULT and shimmed that away. Also messed with the LVL10 bolt system, got that working. But the front brass plug snapped after only about 300 shots (testfiring ULT). Gotta love a gun made of stainless steel having a soft as cheese brass plug! :) I just like irony.

Overall right now that brass was replaced with another plug and we have this thing ripping. And by that I mean we're literally walking this trigger. It's set up SOOOOO sweet right now. I have a pretty well trained ear, and this is over 13bps walking. Not much I would ballpark it at the 15-16bps range. We have video of it, expect that on a possible DVD to be made on this experience.... hmmmmmmm :)

Here's what we'll be making this out of.

Right there are ULE body, Emag valve and rail/sear. Clean, untouched.... for now. Because it'll eventually be having this attached to it....

Spyder E-frame. But it'll also be having a ULT with the valve, so that means we have to bore out the on/off area. Gonna take some time to find exact depth, just need to research some articles probably on AO. Or be lazy and email Rogue! He should know. If it's automag related, be it product info or product for sale, RogueFactor is the man to go to.

Spyder Mag. We are going to Frankenstein an e-Spyder frame to an RT/ULE mag. E-mags have been out for a while, but are rather bulky and expensive. Aftermarket frames are hard to come by and not that much cheaper. Spyder e-frames can be modified to fit, relatively easily. So, we will take RT/ULE/ULT mag and Mill and anno the rail and body. May even anno the valve. We will modify an e-Spyder frame and the mag internals so the two can do their Frankenstein bit together. We will add break-beam anti-chop eyes. This thing should be fast and mostly unchoppable.

We will fabricate the following parts:
•Blade Trigger
•Eye Covers
•Spyder bottomline adaptor

We will need to have donated or purchase the following parts:
•ULE Mag Body
•Adjustable feed neck
•Mag vertical adaptor
•RT compatible Mag Rail
•RT compatible Mag Sear
•ULT trigger kit
•RT or X-Valve
•Level 7 bolt
•Spyder E-frame (could come as a complete marker, as we will need the body for the Spimmy)
•Mag vertical Adaptor
•Aftermarket board and eyes (T-board or Mini-Morlock)
•Macroline fittings
•on/off ASA and rail
